Prince William & Kate Middleton Congratulated Obama on Re-Election?
5:17 pm, November 7th, 2012
President Obama got “happy cheers” on his re-election from Prince William and Kate Middleton, reports an Us Weekly online ”exclusive.”
According to a so-called “source” for the site, “The Duke and Duchess have sent a personal note of congratulations to Barack Obama on his US re-election.”
And Prince William and Middleton are not the only royals allegedly happy about Obama’s win, says the mag.
The supposed “Palace insider” further notes that Queen Elizabeth is also “pleased with the election result.”
Hmm…
While it’s possible the royals are glad about Obama’s re-election, it’s simply NOT true that Prince William and Middleton sent the President a congratulatory letter.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace tells Gossip Cop that the mag’s story is “not true at all,” adding that royal officials have “no idea where this story has come from.”
The tab’s royal reporting error was first uncovered by Socialite Life.
