It’s Official! Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Engaged

Prince William and Kate Middleton are officially engaged.
Prince Charles‘ Clarence House office said in a statement that it was “delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.”
The couple got engaged last month while vacationing in Kenya.
Their wedding will take place in London next spring or summer, and is expected to be as big as that of the groom’s parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana.
According to the official statement, ”Prince William has informed the queen and other close members of his family… Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton’s father.”
“Following the marriage,” the statement noted, “the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton met while they were both at University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
