Prince William, Kate Middleton NOT “Choosing Sides” In Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Divorce, Despite Report
Prince William and Kate Middleton are NOT being forced to “choose sides” in the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie divorce, despite a ridiculous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”
According to OK!, the two royals are “absolutely devastated” by the split of the Hollywood superstars, but are in disagreement over which one they should remain in contact with. A so-called “source” tells the outlet the prince and his wife “plan to send private messages of support to both Brad and Angelina when things settle down in the media,” but Prince William believes “they should cut off ties with Brad.”
The magazine’s seemingly made-up insider further purports that Prince William wants to choose Jolie because of her “incredible humanitarian work,” but Middleton is “suspicious that William’s very obvious crush on Angelina is coming into play.” The “source” also alleges Middleton is leaning towards Pitt because she “can’t bring herself to believe Brad would ever hurt his kids intentionally.”
However, the tabloid’s story is completely flawed. Pitt and Jolie visited Kensington Palace in June 2015 to share tea with the royals and discuss world issues, but the two couples aren’t close friends. And Prince William and Middleton aren’t being forced to choose sides between the estranged spouses, whom they’re only known to have met on that one occasion.
In fact, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has debunked a tall tale involving the British royals and Hollywood superstars. We previously called out OK!’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for its bogus report about Middleton asking Queen Elizabeth to have Pitt knighted. There was no truth to that claim, and the same goes for this latest one.
