President Obama “Rage” After Morgan Freeman “Flirting” With Michelle Obama?
President Obama did not go into a “rage” after Morgan Freeman allegedly “flirted” with Michelle Obama, despite a ridiculous report. Gossip Cop can bust the story. We’re told it’s not worth the paper on which it was printed.
That paper would be the National Enquirer, which features this headline in Wednesday’s new issue: “Obama’s Rage As Michelle Gets It On With Flirty Freeman!” The accompanying story states, “Morgan Freeman has an Academy Award, a storied film career, tons of money — and now Michelle Obama’s heart.” It’s alleged that at the Invictus Games earlier this month, “the Shawshank Redemption star swept the first lady her feet with a big smooch!”
“Washington insiders are now whispering that the high-profile kiss set off a code red inside the Oval Office,” writes the supermarket tabloid, which quotes a so-called “eyewitness” as saying Michelle “looked like she was going to swoon.” The alleged source goes on, “When the president saw the pictures, he was absolutely livid!”
In addition to the “big smooch,” it’s further claimed that Freeman’s “flirting” included “grinding up again” the First Lady “while hugging in front of thousands of spectators.” The supposed spy says, “When she finally began to walk off the stage, the old wolf was even giving her a tiger growl and a long stare as she stepped away… looking like she was walking on air!”
The magazine describes the President as “not amused,” and its tipster even alleges, “He was watching on TV and nearly kicked a hole in the screen.” That sounds like quite the scene. But it’s telling that not one other outlet reported any inappropriate behavior between Mrs. Obama and Freeman at the public event.
And that’s because nothing actually happened between them. The “kiss” the National Enquirer refers to was nothing more than the two greeting each other with a standard cheek kiss, much like the First Lady did with other notable figures in attendance. And what the tabloid tries to pass off as a “photo exclusive” is really just the picture seen above. Don’t fall for the misleading sensationalism. There was no “flirt” fest and no “rage.”
