President Obama And Michelle Obama Trash Talk Prince Harry Over Invictus Games (VIDEO)
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have engaged in a playful feud with Prince Harry over the 2016 Invictus Games. Watch the Obamas’ trash-talking message to the Prince in the video below. But that’s not all. Queen Elizabeth got into the war of words, as well.
The Invictus Games, which were launched by Prince Harry in 2014, is a sporting event in which 500 wounded service members from 15 different countries compete in various tournaments, including wheelchair basketball, volleyball and other Paralympic-style games. Prince Harry, who himself served in the British Armed Forces for 10 years, said he created the event to shine a light on injured soldiers and provide them an opportunity to use sports as a way of recovering.
In a video message posted on Friday, Barack and Michelle Obama mockingly threat the Prince with their arms crossed. “Hey Prince Harry, remember when you told us to ‘bring it’ at the Invictus games?” the First Lady asks. The President then adds, “Careful what you wish for.” In response to their good-natured jab, Prince Harry tweeted, “Wow @FLOTUS and @POTUS, some @weareinvictus fighting talk there! You can dish it out, but can you take it?” It ends with a Marine in the background going, “Boom!”
But in a later video, Prince Harry can be seen watching the Obamas’ taunt with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Her response? “Boom, really? Please.” That’s followed by Prince Harry doing a mock mic drop, and saying, “Boom!” This year’s ceremony is being held from May 8-12 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. Watch below the President and First Lady’s funny warning to Prince Harry, as well as Queen Elizabeth’s response.
