President Obama Did NOT Issue “Diet Or Divorce” Ultimatum To Michelle, Despite Report
President Barack Obama did NOT issue an ultimatum to Michelle Obama that she either go on a diet or he’d divorce her, despite a ridiculous tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.
According to the National Enquirer, the First Lady has allegedly gained nearly 100 pounds in recent months, and it’s causing problems in her marriage. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Barack is furious! He’s ordered Michelle to hit the White House gym or get slapped with divorce papers.” The outlet’s alleged insider further claims the President is no longer attracted to her, saying, “Barack is looking everywhere but his wife. They haven’t had sex in months.”
The outlet goes on to purport a number of dubious reasons for Michelle’s supposed weight gain, including that she’s allegedly “been on an out-of-control boozing binge.” “Michelle’s drinking more than usual, and she’s been doing a bunch of stress snacking,” says the publication’s “source.” The tabloid’s seemingly phony insider concludes by expressing doubt about Michelle’s ability to slim down, adding, “Sadly, it appears their marriage is through. I don’t see how they will ever get back together. It’s finished.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable White House insider, who exclusively tells us the President and First Lady aren’t having any marital problems, nor has Barack ordered his wife to lose weight. We’re assured there’s simply “no truth” to the publication’s entire tale. In fact, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to call out the Enquirer for publishing a concocted story on the first lady’s physical appearance. We previously busted the tabloid for falsely alleging Michelle was getting “butt reduction surgery.” This latest report is similarly untrue.
