Porsha Williams Did NOT “Lie” And Say She Was Getting Real Housewives Spinoff
Porsha Williams never “lied” about getting a “Real Housewives of Atlanta” spinoff, because she never said that was happening in the first place. A number of outlets are wrongly claiming that Williams “leaked a false rumor” about the potential show, frustrated about her smaller role in upcoming “Real Housewives” episodes. That simply is NOT the case.
On “Dish Nation,” Williams was asked about rumors that she’ll be getting a spinoff and set the record straight. She explained, “I don’t know who leaked that… I haven’t spoken to anybody from Bravo who said they were going to be releasing any information like that.”
When she was again pressed about whether she’d be getting any kind of show, Williams replied, “I cannot confirm that. I mean, I am working on a project, this is true. And it is for TV, and I am executive producing it.” See the video below.
Last spring, Williams’ fight with Kenya Moore on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion special became one of the most talked-about reality TV moments of the year. In the wake of the incident, Williams was demoted from full cast member to “friend.” While it’s clear she’ll have a future reality TV role, the idea that she invented a fake spinoff rumor is totally off base.
