POLL: Conan & Jay – Now What?

POLL

Generally when people refer to the “late night” wars, it’s about the battle between the NBC’s “The Tonight Show” and CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman.”

But, as you know, NBC has done the virtually impossible, igniting an internal “late night” war between its top talkers, Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien.

Yesterday, it was officially confirmed that “The Jay Leno Show” is over. And as Gossip Cop first reported late last week, O’Brien has agreed to “nothing” proposed by NBC, specifically moving his “Tonight Show” to 12:05-1:05 a.m. and Leno taking an 11:35 p.m.-12:05 a.m. spot.

There are several scenarios for how this war will end. And Gossip Cop would like you to vote on the resolution you would most like to see.

Polls like this never really give the full picture since more young people are online voting who would watch Conan. Jay attracts a more middle age to older audience who don’t go online to vote in polls. But I think Jays numbers at 11:35pm spoke for themselves since he remained #1 the whole time he hosted the Tonight Show and now Conan has lost half those viewers who switched to Letterman.

I personally prefer Jay and I would never make it to 11:35 pm.. 10pm was the perfect time for me to watch Leno and only a half an hour would be lame-o. I guess The Jay Leno Show never got enough viewers but I thought it was way better than when he was on the Tonight Show
