The body of Andrew Koenig, the missing “Growing Pains” actor, was found dead in Vancouver’s Stanley Park this afternoon.

The actor’s father, “Star Trek” star Walter Koenig, confirmed his son took his life, and that he had been suffering from depression. Andrew Koenig’s mom has asked the public to respect their privacy. 

An earlier search of the expansive park yielded no trace of Koenig, but at noon today Andrew Koenig’s body was discovered by family members and friends.

Koenig lived in Vancouver for three years in the early 1990s, and Stanley Park was among his favorite places, according to the Vancouver Sun.

Koenig had been missing since February 14.

His parents appeared on “The Today Show” yesterday to plea for help in locating the missing actor.
