The Ohio police chief, who prosecutors alleged broke into the home of Michelle Ross – the surrogate who carried Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick‘s twins, Marion and Tabitha – was just found guilty of three felonies.

Police chief Barry Carpenter, charged with taking items related to Ross’ pregnancy and surrogacy — in an alleged effort to sell them to paparazzi — was found him guilty of the three felonies of receiving stolen property, theft in office and tampering with evidence.

Carpenter testified that he entered Ross’ home and took photos of a file that contained ultrasound pictures of the twins, but claimed he never talked about selling the items to the paparazzi.

Carpenter is set to be sentenced on December 10, and could face up to 10 years in jail.
