Poh Scott “American Idol” Audition Video: Shi Scott’s Sister Impresses Judges
Poh Scott followed in sister Shi Scott‘s “American Idol” footsteps on Wednesday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Shi made it the Top 24 last season, but was eliminated during the semifinals. She now accompanied her younger sibling to the try-outs for season 15. “Everybody currently knows me as Shi’s sister, but I’m really hoping to get to a point where I’m just Poh and that’s it,” said the 17-year-old, who admitted her nickname, yes, comes from “The Teletubbies.”
Still, Poh admitted her relation to the judges, and further told them, “I was dancer growing up, so I’m not really like a crazy singer. I don’t know how to perform or anything like that, but it’s the last season, so why not?” Harry Connick, Jr. said they would be “the judge of that,” and Poh launched into Sara Bareilles’ “Fairytale.”
Connick told her afterward, “This is like a piece of friendly advice: Don’t ever tell people what to think. You said negative things about yourself. Don’t say that. I actually found some of the things you did some of the more refreshing things we’ve today.”
Jennifer Lopez agreed, calling the try-out “really good,” and Keith Urban told her, “I really love the way you sing.” He even added, “One of my favorites today.” After getting a golden ticket to Hollywood, both Poh and Shi were in tears. Check out the full video below!
