Pink was hospitalized on Thursday due to a bad case of the stomach flu – but seems to be in great spirits.

The singer shared on Twitter a picture of herself smiling while hooked up to an IV in her hospital bed.

“Maybe it’s cause my mom was an ER nurse all my life- but throw me in a gown and a hook me up to an IV- and I’m a happy girl,” Pink wrote.

She added, “Stomach flu sucks but morphine doesn’t.”

Gossip Cop wishes Pink a speedy recovery!

This is not just aimed at Pink. But I just don’t get the need to know all these personal details about people’s lives via the internet. Why do we need to see this exactly. Twitter is just a bad excuse to overshare and not just for celebrities.

Since when does a person get given Morphine for the stomach flu? I’ve always toughed it out at home with some flat lemon aid and soup..

Lol that’s what I was wondering

And close proximity to the bathroom!! (lots of fluids, but never hospitalized and no hard drugs)

I think she’s confused. They don’t give you morphine. They will give you Compazine or an equivalent, for nausea. If she has a bad case of intestinal flu and experienced heavy vomiting and diarrhea, she probably got very dehydrated, hence the hospital stay and IV fluids.

Unless the nausea is so bad you can’t keep anything down. It happened to me. I ended up in the hospital on IV fluids for 4 days and was dang glad to be there. The anti-nausea drugs they give you have a side effect of putting you in lala land, so it’s a huge relief, believe me. Haha! :D

If you feel that way, WHY? did you read and comment on the story??

Yes, agree that if bad enough, and the deydration is so bad, hospitalization is of course necessary, especially for children and the elderly. Not making light of what can be a very serious condition. I have just been lucky enough to not need it.
