New “Larry King”? NBC & CNN to Share Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan is one step closer to replacing Larry King after NBC executive Jeff Gaspin confirmed that the “America’s Got Talent” host also has a deal with CNN.
The British TV personality’s “Talent” commitment at NBC had been a potential stumbling block to King’s seat.
But when asked at the TCA Press Tour whether a recently retooled agreement between Morgan and NBC meant NBC and CNN would be sharing his talents, Gaspin responded, “Yes.”
Morgan has been considered the front runner for King’s 9:00 pm talk show spot, even though King himself has reservations.
There has still been no official word from CNN.
