Phillip Phillips brought his A-game to Wednesday’s “American Idol,” his last chance to prove he deserves to be in the finale.

The former pawn shop worker put his own twist on songs like the Four Seasons’ “Beggin’,” Matchbox Twenty’s “Disease” and Bob Seeger’s “We’ve Got Tonight.”

Though the judges were mostly negative about “Disease,” they loved “We’ve Got Tonight” and gave Phillips a standing ovation.

Randy Jackson even called it Phillips’ best “American Idol” performance yet.
