“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson told churchgoers during a recent sermon in West Monroe, Louisiana that you can’t get sexually transmitted diseases if you practice “biblically correct sex.”

Robertson preached that “orthodox liberal opinion” is responsible for “so many terrible, debilitating diseases.”

“Biblically correct sex is safe,” he said. “It’s safe. You’re not going to get chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, AIDS.”

The reality TV star continued, “If a man marries a woman, and neither of you have it, and you keep your sex between the two of you, you’re not going to get ever sexually transmitted diseases.”

Robertson is not a stranger to controversy.

He was temporarily suspended from “Duck Dynasty” in 2013 after he made anti-gay comments in a GQ interview, which he continues to defend.

Last year Robertson also told a Georgia crowd to “marry… girls when they are 15 or 16.”
