Peyton Manning Sings Johnny Cash’s ‘Rocky Top’ At Nashville Bar (VIDEO)
Peyton Manning surprised the patrons at a bar in Nashville on Monday night by dropping in and treating them to a performance of Johnny Cash’s “Rocky Top.” Watch the video below!
Manning was joined by country singer Lee Brice at the Winners Bar and Grill, a Nashville hotspot that offers free live music on Monday nights during a show dubbed “Whiskey Jam.” The newly-retired NFL quarterback is a huge fan of the legendary Cash, and has joined many country stars on stage to cover his tunes. Over the years, Manning has made surprise collaborations with singers including Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, who coincidentally co-hosted Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards.
Manning has also previously sang karaoke with his brother Eli at the Kentucky Derby, performed with Jake Owen at a charity gala, and came out on stage for a duet during a Kenny Chesney concert, in addition to many more surprise music gigs. As Gossip Cop reported, the former Denver Broncos quarterback announced his retirement from the NFL in March following an 18-year career, and just weeks after leading the Broncos to its Super Bowl 50 championship. Fortunately, Manning will now have plenty of time to embark on an amateur music career. Watch his latest performance in the video below!
