Peter Jackson ‘Doing Well’ After Surgery

Peter Jackson is in stable condition in the intensive care unit of a New Zealand hospital.

The Lord of the Rings director underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer last Wednesday after complaining of severe stomach pains.

A rep for Jackson said he was ”doing well,” but would remain in Wellington Hospital for a few more days.

Jackson’s surgery delayed the start of filming of The Hobbit.
