Peter Gabriel Wants Music Pulled From Rush Limbaugh After Sandra Fluke Rant

Peter Gabriel has pulled his music from Rush Limbaugh’s radio show in the wake of the controversy concerning the conservative host’s comments about birth control advocate Sandra Fluke.

Gabriel’s hit “Sledgehammer” can be heard in the background during Limbaugh’s rant about Georgetown law student Fluke (whom the radio host calls a “slut” and “prostitute”).

On his Facebook page, Gabriel asked that the following statement be posted:

“Peter was appalled to learn that his music was linked to Rush Limbaugh’s extraordinary attack on Sandra Fluke. It is obvious from anyone that knows Peter’s work that he would never approve such a use. He has asked his representatives to make sure his music is withdrawn and especially from these unfair aggressive and ignorant comments.”

Limbaugh’s remarks about Fluke have already led to a cavalcade of advertisers leaving his show.

“The Middle” star Patricia Heaton, meanwhile, caught flak for attacking Fluke on Twitter; she’s since apologized.

    Bull Crap, this is not about the rights of woman (which I am, btw). Liberals are trying to turn this into a Republican war on woman because Obama was getting killed for his war on religious freedoms. You can get birth control FREE at PP and for under $10 a month from your local Walmart (NO WHERE does it cost $3000, like Ms. Flake, the liar says). Ms. Flake specifically chose to go to Georgetown because she knew their insurance plan didn’t offer birth control in an effort to cause a stir. They have a right to not supply it. She is nothing but a political, liberal hack trying to get her 15 minutes of fame. BTW, she also thinks we the people should pay up if you want a sex change operation. Do you agree with that?

    Regardless of where one stands on this issue, there is absolutely no excuse for Limbaughs use of such abusive language. He actually said he wanted to see a sex tape of her activities because he would be paying for her birth control. I bet his insurance paid for all his oxycontin and viagra. Give me a break!
