PETA Blasts Kanye West for “Theraflu”

PETA is blasting Kanye West for calling them out with a provocative lyric in “Theraflu.”

In the song, West raps, “Tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor.”

Now the animal rights organization is hitting back, releasing a statement to Gossip Cop in which they tell West exactly what they think of his use of fur.

“What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings,” declares PETA.

The group continues, ”He’s a great musician but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes.”

PETA adds, ”We keep hoping that one day he’ll find his heart and join evolved style icons—including Russell Simmons, Pink, and Natalie Portman—who have dropped animal skins.”

Coincidentally, “Theraflu” also refers to West’s love for Kim Kardashian — whom he’s said to be dating — and who was famously “flour bombed” by an animal rights activist in March, leading her sister Khloe to renounce PETA.

It’s a small world.

    West’s brain is draggin’ on the floor as well. I would be willing to bet this guy is certifiably whacko. An out of control ego can only make a person take it so far – this guy is a sicko!

    I dont really like him but PETA is worse! they are against people eating meat or wearing fur which I understand!! but their so called shelters kill over 96% or the animals and some within a day of being admitted. Yet they are against the shelters that dont kill animals because they say that the animals drink 2 days old water.. Well at least they got water to drink and are still alive!

    PETA needs to just shut up at this point. They have done themselves so much damage, particularly recently. All they have done is shine a big fat bright light on the fact that they are not even CLOSE to being the benevolent lovers and protectors of animals they claim to be. People are beginning to track their record and are realizing PETA is one of the biggest abusers of animals out there.

    OH WOW ooooooo they really told him. LOL! PETA has lost a lot of creditability here. I don’t like Kanye at all but I don’t care for PETA either. I really would like to see them through some flour on him….and see if the representative of PETA walks away so easily.
