Perrie Edwards: “I’m Good” After Zayn Malik Called Off Engagement – WATCH VIDEO
Perrie Edwards says she’s “good” after Zayn Malik called off their engagement. As Gossip Cop reported earlier on Tuesday, Malik broke up with the Little Mix singer two weeks ago. The pair had been engaged since August 2013. Watch the video below.
On the same day as the news of their split broke, Edwards and her Little Mix bandmates Leigh-Ann Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall were scheduled to do an interview with E! News. Keeping their commitment, when Edwards was asked how she was handling the breakup, she replied, “I’m good, thank you,” before a bandmate quickly added, “We don’t really want to talk about it.”
Earlier, it was reported Edwards was “in pieces” and “devastated” over the breakup, but it seems the singer is putting on a brave face in public. As Gossip Cop noted, the last time Edwards publicly spoke about her engagement to Malik was in March when she seemed to get frustrated about constantly being asked when the two were getting married.
Malik was also forced to talk about their relationship in May when he denied cheating on Edwards while on the road with One Direction. At the time, he tweeted, “I’m 22 years old… I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there’s lots of jealous f*cks in this world I’m sorry for what it looks like.”
