Perez Wrong About Sean Penn Punching “Hurt Locker” Producer at Governor’s Ball

“Sean Penn Kicked Out Of Oscar Party For Fighting,” reads the latest explosive headline from Perez Hilton.

According to Perez, “Sean Penn was thrown out of the Governor’s Ball on Sunday night for punching one of the Hurt Locker producers.”

The reason?

The Oscar-winning actor “freaked out that the producer is dating his ex Robin Wright,” writes Perez.

Really?

Nope.

Not true.

Penn did NOT punch the producer.

“There was no altercation,” said his rep, who added that after the awards ceremony, Penn “chose not to go to the Governor’s Ball,” and that she “put him in his car.”

Gossip Cop further checked with a few other people who were at the Academy Awards’ official dinner/after-party, and we’re told that not only weren’t there any punches thrown, but Penn was definitely a no-show at the Governor’s Ball.
