Perez lacks clear “view” of Barbara Walters relationship

“Barbara’s New Beau!!!” reads the headline of a piece about Barbara Walters by Perez Hilton, who adds, “Sources are saying that Bab’s brought Frank Langella to the Literary Lions dinner at the Public Library after also being spotted together in Washington for the Kennedy Center Honors.” (Those “sources,” of course, would be the New York Post, which published the original story that he ripped off.)
Perez then notes, “There’s just one little problem” with Walters “new beau,” and that is… “Frank just happens to be the former lover of Bab’s co-star on The View, Whoopi Goldberg.”
He then ends the item with “Bring on the granny cat fight!!!”
One “little problem” with Perez’s story is that he neglected to mention that in the stolen New York Post piece Walters herself told the paper, “Frank and I have been friends for many years and will continue to be friends for many years, but it’s not a romance.”
And a rep for Walters also reiterated to Gossip Cop that the actor and the “View” host are just “friends.”
Seriously, if Gossip Cop corrected every story that Perez Hilton got wrong, we’d have to replace our overused P-E-R-and Z keys every week at the Apple store.
