Perez Hilton wrong about Jamie Foxx and “American Idol”

In a piece titled, “Add His Name To The List!” Perez Hilton regurgitates a rumor that Gossip Cop busted yesterday about Jamie Foxx possibly taking over for Simon Cowell on “American Idol.”
Perez writes, “We’ve just gotten word that Jamie Foxx is looking to take Simon’s seat (sic) the judges table. One Idol insider called him a ‘strong contender.’”
First, how can Perez say, “We’ve just gotten word” when he’s simply cutting and pasting other people’s work?
More importantly, though, Perez is both late and wrong (again).
Foxx is NOT a “strong contender.” He NOT a contender at all.
As Gossip Cop accurately reported yesterday, Foxx is not interested in the Fox competition show.
In fact, Foxx’s rep told Gossip Cop, “Haha. Nothing happening here.”
