Perez Hilton‘s reporting usually gives Gossip Cop a chuckle, but sometimes his nastiness just makes us wince. Hilton, who’s never been too ashamed to go after celebrities’ children, now seems intent on making brutal remarks about underage personalities just for shock value.

Hilton’s latest bit of classy commentary, “Aliana Lohan Works the Streets of Paris,” jokes that Lindsay Lohan‘s little sister is prostituting herself for drug money. He scribbles, “How much?” on a photo of Lohan on a sidewalk, and writes, “Ali teaches Linds a lesson on how she’s going to be making her money seeing as both her fashion and acting careers are tanking.” He then draws specks of cocaine beneath Lohan’s nose.

Trust us, we understand that Lohan dressed provocatively, and that as an actress she is subject to public scrutiny. But Ali Lohan is just 15 years old. Is it really necessary for Perez Hilton to joke that she’s working the streets for drug money?

Oh, but the classy treatment of teenage celebs doesn’t end there. In another post, Hilton manages to turn on the sincerity for a brief moment, praising Joe and Nick Jonas for attending the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s “Run for the Cure.” “Their mama should be very proud!” Hilton declares. Gossip Cop agrees: she should be.

But in that post about women battling a potentially fatal disease, Hilton scrawled the words, “Save the Boobies” across an accompanying photo. This is about saving lives, but “Scoop” couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He had to treat an issue as serious as breast cancer like a joke.

We like blogs that have fun. But there’s a thick line between funny and mean, and once again Perez has crossed it.
