Perez ‘Earns’ an F in Reading Comprehension, Logic

You know what we love about Perez Hilton? He makes us laugh.

Though not intentionally on his part.

In his latest comic masterpiece, Perez successfully cut-and-pasted word for word the sub-headline of a Telegraph story that stated, “Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have entered the Guinness World Records book as the highest grossing lead actors of the decade.”

What he didn’t do successfully, however, was actually read the Telegraph’s story. The article noted that the two young actors made the Guinness World Records book because their films earned billions of dollars at the box office. “Radcliffe’s films earn an average of $558 million, while Watson is ahead of $753.7 million as last year she also starred in The Tale of Despereaux, a children’s animation in which she voiced a princess.”

But “Scoop” Hilton took it to mean that they – the actors – earned that amount of money. He wrote, “it’ll probably suprise (sic) you to learn though that it’s actually Emma who came ahead in the bank, bringing in $753.7 million last year while Daniel only brought in $558 million.” He then added, “Hope the kids at Brown don’t get wind of this. Emma will be footing the bill every time they go out.”

No, they won’t have her always pay, Perez. Because unlike you, those Ivy Leaguers learned as far back as first grade not only how to cut-and-paste, but also how to READ.

    thing is, most of us who blog at him, rip him apart. Yes, I know, some idiot advertisers look at the hit #s. BUT, some of us do write to the major advertisers and tell them we will never buy from them if they advertise on a site that hates women, calls underage girls sluts, draws penises on them, cum marks. Drulls (?) over young boys, acts like a ped. We call him out on his copy and pasting, and allow my spelling is not that great, his is awful, and he should have a spell check. We have noticed a BIG drop in advertisers with the exception of tv shows and movies. What is amazing is how stupid they are. they advertise and he will rip it apart. Why they continue, I guess they do not believe in reading where they advertise-stupid move. But, you are right-he either can’t read or is too lazy to read the whole article and figures readers will not click and read the article-and alot don’t -the stupid ones. Me, maybe stupid, but I like arguing. Keep up the good work gossip cop.

    Perez didn’t just cut and paste. When you read that they are “the highest grossing actors” that obviously means what the movie made and not their salary. You would have to be a twit to think that Emma Watson’s salary was in the $700 millions, Paul McCartney doesn’t even make that much in a year. He says Emma can foot the bill because of her big star power and you would infer this from the information he gives you. Instead of telling Perez to read the entire article you should do the same and take a minute to realize what he’s saying. Not everything is taken literal. Have you heard of a joke?
