People’s Choice Awards Stage Crasher Interrupts “The Talk” Acceptance Speech
A stage crasher interrupted Wednesday’s 2016 People Choice Awards as “The Talk” co-hosts were giving an acceptance speech for Favorite Daytime TV Hosting Team. Watch below.
Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood all made their way on stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles after it was announced they had won. Gilbert was talking about the “amazing” honor when a guy in a red jacket suddenly ran on stage and approached the microphone. Underwood immediately tried to prevent him from speaking, but he grabbed the mic anyway.
“My name is Ricardo. Shout out to Kevin Gates. Get the album,” the man said, seemingly promoting Gates’ upcoming record, Islah. Underwood wrestled the mic away, saying, “Uh-uh, that’s not going to happen up here!” Osbourne even tried kicking the guy as Underwood yelled out, “No Steve Harvey up in here! Security!”
Ricardo was then pulled away, and Gilbert attempted to continue her speech by saying she and her colleagues are the “motley crew of misfits.” Tyler chimed in, “But that guy’s not in our club!” Osbourne then exclaimed, “Get the [expletive] off stage.” While Gilbert was able to finish her speech, everyone was left rather confused.
