Paula Hunt became one of Jennifer Lopez’s “favorites” on Thursday’s “American Idol,” the last episode of auditions.

The 20-year-old was inspired to audition after watching her mom’s music dreams get crushed by multiple sclerosis.

Hunt, who sings in the U.S. Air Force Heartland of America band, gave a flawless performance of “All I Can Do Is Cry” by Etta James.

“You have such a talent and it still hasn’t even begun to blossom,” Lopez told Hunt afterward.

Keith Urban told her, “I just love the way you sing.”

And Harry Connick Jr. noted, “The reason we have the best military in the world because we have people like you singing in it.”
