Paula Abdul Slams Reports of “Anger” Over X Factor Firing

Truth rating: 0

(New York Daily News)

“Straight up, Paula Abdul was furious about Simon Cowell’s decision to ax her from ‘The X Factor,’” reports the New York Daily News.

The paper goes on to cite a source that claims, “Paula went ballistic when she found out she wasn’t back” and “told Simon that she felt used.”

The Daily News insider alleges Abdul wanted to “rant and rave on Twitter and online” after the firing, but ultimately didn’t because her team convinced her to play it cool.

Instead, Abdul released a statement, where she said she and the producers had been “communicating about this for a while now,” and she understood the business decision behind changing the judges’ panel.

“I want nothing more than for ‘The X Factor’ to exceed ALL of their wildest dreams. This truly has been a blessing and I am most grateful,” she said at the time.

So were Abdul’s comments all lies?

No way, the singer herself said on Twitter late Friday.

“Truth is, I parted ways amicably & remain friends w/ Fremantle, Fox & Simon,” Abdul tweeted, writing that she “just saw all my Fox friends the other day!”

She added, “I know it’s boring & under-whelming, but hey, the truth usually is.”

Glad that’s cleared up. The media needs to leave the nice genuine celebs alone. Paula seems like such a sweetheart. She always said that she knew it was all professional, never personal, that Simon decided to let her go.

I like Paula, but even I have to admit there was more going on with her than just “tiredness” or whatever other excuses were made for her. She was loopy, slurring her words, and seemed totally high.

You have to remember that she’s turning 50 this year. Of course she’s going to be more tired than usual, she’s one of the oldest members of the panel, when you compare her to LA and Nicole. And she did not seem high at all, she has a speech impediment and a certain attention disorder (I cant remember the name) which causes her to act a little crazy sometimes.

I love her loopiness and am glad that she remains such a positive gal!

I am against the firing. The committee also made a mistake in making the judges group leaders of people they were to judge. How can a lawyer be a judge of the same person he is to defend? What would you expect in such a case? GIVE PAULA A CHANCE AND DO CORRECT THE MISTAKE.
