Paula Abdul: Parting “American Idol” or PR Ploy?

The Internet is buzzing this morning with the latest stunner from TV’s top-rated program. Paula Abdul announced via Twitter late last night that she’d decided to leave American Idol, where she’s been a judge for each of the show’s eight seasons. Producers released a statement wishing her the best.
While most people are taking Paula’s Tweet at face value, some question whether it’s just meant to generate some more hype for Idol.
