Paul Zerdin “America’s Got Talent” Video: Marlon Wayans Uses Golden Buzzer For Funny Ventriloquist — WATCH HERE!
“America’s Got Talent” guest judge Marlon Wayans used his Golden Buzzer for ventriloquist Paul Zerdin on Tuesday. Check out the video below!
Zerdin came on stage with a baby carrier and what appeared to be a baby inside it. He amusingly said he couldn’t find a babysitter, and asked that everyone whisper. Of course, the baby was revealed to be a dummy, and a joke was made about its resemblance to Howie Mandel.
The puppet demanded to hear a story before going to sleep, and the judges cracked up as the “baby” got more and more agitated. Zerdin, too, got frustrated, wanting to know why his pal kept saying “duck.” Well, the message became clear when the baby began peeing.
“This is fun for the whole family,” Mandel declared afterward. “This is a big family show, and you’re a big family act.” Zerdin assured Mel B he had additional puppets and more to offer, and there was some charming innuendo. Heidi Klum said the material was “really, really clever,” and noted, “You do make us believe they’re really two people on the stage.”
And Howard Stern called Zerdin a “cartoon come to life,” which he meant as a compliment, and even went on to say, “You’re going to be a main contender. I don’t think there’s anyone sitting in this room right now who doesn’t believe that you’re not going to be in the Top 5.” But the biggest honor came from Wayans.
The actor-comedian said the performance was “wonderfully orchestrated,” and commended Zerdin for “making a grown man feel like a kid” again. “I just found myself laughing, and I felt joy,” said Wayans. “And I just want that feeling, and I want everyone to feel that feeling of joy.”
Well, there was a lot of joy to go around when Wayans then hit the button, sending confetti blasting onto the stage. Zerdin appeared stunned and, of course, elated. The advantage meant he was automatically through to the next round at Radio City Music Hall, and didn’t have to wait to find out if he would make it to the live episodes.
