Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, who were arrested after a domestic dispute in their New Canaan, Connecticut home on Saturday, held hands while in court on Monday.

Simon said outside the courthouse that he and Brickell simply “had an argument,” and that “Edie and I are fine.”

“We’re going to see our son’s baseball game this afternoon,” he added.

As Gossip Cop reported, the couple was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to a call from their home.

Police Chief Leon Krolikowski said on Monday, “There was aggressiveness on both sides,” and that the two singers were “both victims.”

Nevertheless, Simon and Brickell’s attorney painted the scuffle as a minor incident, and the judge didn’t see a reason to issue a protective order for either party.
