Patrick Farves, Teen Who Asked Miss America To Prom, Talks Incident And School Suspension on Today (VIDEO)

Truth rating: 10

By Michael Lewittes

Patrick Farves, the student at Central York High School in Pennsylvania who asked Miss America Nina Davuluri during an assembly to go to prom with him — and was later suspended by his school — talked about the incident on the “Today Show” on Monday.

Farves said on the morning show that he’s known in his school for “pranks” and doing “goofy” things.

And even though school administrators warned the teen about asking out Davuluri, he explained, “This was a once in a lifetime chance… I did it anyway.”

Farves’ school has since suspended him for three days, an action that created an outcry in his defense across social media.

The high school senior, however, is willing to take responsibility.

He said on the “Today Show”: “I can completely understand and respect the disciplinary actions that had to be taken.”

Check out the video below of Farves, and tell us what you think.
