Pat Robertson: Gays Will “Die Out Because They Don’t Reproduce” (VIDEO)
Pat Robertson is not a fan of homosexuality (not exactly breaking news), but the televangelist and host of “The 700 Club” framed the issue in particularly peculiar terms on a recent broadcast. According to Robertson, gays “will die out because they don’t reproduce.” Watch the video below.
The preacher’s puzzling biology lesson actually came up when a viewer wrote about her problems belonging to a church where congregants are not allowed to date each other. “It is treated as a sin to show interest or to have a mutual understanding in church with the opposite sex,” explained Crystal. “Most of the people in the church are frustrated because we’re getting older and no one is getting married. We pray about the issue, but it seems like it is bouncing back. What should I do?”
That’s an interesting question. Here’s Robertson’s even more interesting answer: “You know, those who are homosexual will die out because they don’t reproduce. You have to have heterosexual sex to reproduce. Same thing with that church. It’s doomed. It’s going to die out, because it’s the most nonsensical thing I have heard in a long time.”
Um, that’s the “most nonsensical” thing? While Robertson is entitled to his religious opinions on homosexuality, we have a feeling he is going to be sorely disappointed in the future. Watch the clip of Robertson explaining gay reproduction below, and tell us what you think.
