UPDATE – 4:00 PM -

Nathan Lee Parada is reportedly in custody and being held on $50,000 after allegedly prowling on Paris Hilton’s property with knives early Tuesday.

TMZ says Parada has been charged with one count of felony burglary.

A publicist for Hilton has given Gossip Cop the following statement:

“Paris is naturally shaken by the events but is unharmed and well.  She is very thankful to her security team and the police for their swift and diligent response.”

Paris Hilton claims a man carrying knives tried to enter her house early Tuesday morning.

“So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes (sic). Cops are here arresting [him],” tweeted the socialite.

She reportedly spotted the trespasser on her security cameras and immediately contacted police.

Hilton posted this photo from the scene.

Officials have confirmed that a man was arrested outside of Hilton’s home at approximately 6:30 AM Pacific and taken to jail. They describe him as in his forties and “armed and dangerous.”
