Pamela Anderson Reportedly Barred From Sam Simon Funeral Over $800,000 Ring
Pamela Anderson has reportedly been barred by Sam Simon’s family from attending his private funeral this week because they’re furious the late TV titan and philanthropist gave her a ring worth $800,000 just weeks before he died. TMZ says Simon’s loved ones think Anderson never should have accepted his generosity in Simon’s weakened state, and they have apparently decided to exclude her from Tuesday’s service.
Simon died earlier this week after a long battle with cancer. A legendary comedy producer, he made a fortune through his early involvement with “The Simpsons,” and went on to donate enormous sums of money to charitable causes. Simon’s primary interest was in helping animals, an issue close to Anderson’s heart. They had been friends for years before his reported $800,000 ring gift to her.
Anderson has not yet commented on the report. She’s already had an upsetting few days. Anderson was just granted a restraining order against her estranged husband, Rick Salomon, whom she’s divorcing. She claims he tried to smother and strangle her during sex two months ago and alleges a larger pattern of abuse. Anderson says Salomon called her a “serial baby killer” in an email and has made other dramatic allegations.
