Paige VanZant Nails “Austin Powers” Dance On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (VIDEO)
Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas did a jazz routine to “Soul Bossa Nova” from the movie Austin Powers on this week’s “Dancing With The Stars,” and the judges were saying, “Yeah, baby!” The theme of Monday’s show was “Famous Dance,” so VanZant and Ballas had to recreate the well-known dance from the opening of the Mike Myers spy spoof. Watch the video below.
Last week, VanZant danced with Sasha Farber during “Switch Up” week” and proved she’s a tough competitor, regardless of who her partner is. Throughout this season of “Dancing With The Stars,” the UFC fighter has consistently been among the highest rated dancers. And not only do voters love VanZant, but the studio audience and judges have been repeatedly impressed by her performances, which usually involve creative sets.
After her jazz performance on “Famous Dance” night, Len Goodman said, “There is nothing about that dance that I didn’t like.” Bruno Tonioli added that he too liked their performance. And Carrie Ann Inaba noted it was “one of my favorite dances,” adding, “I love everything you did.”
VanZant and Ballas’s jazz dance to “Soul Bossa Nova” from Austin Powers earned them 28 out of 30 points. Check out the video below of Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas’s performance on“Famous Dance” night.
