The news that Osama bin Laden was killed n a U.S. operation in Pakistan resulted in a flurry of celebrations in New York and Washington, D.C. last night. Many celebrities took to Twitter to comment on the death of the most wanted man in the world.

Lady Gaga wrote, “What a historical moment in the fight against hatred.” John Stamos quoted Mark Twain, saying, “I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.”

Katy Perry tweeted, “America! F**k yeah! Here to save the motherf**kin’ day… I am relieved in some ways, but have a feeling of uncertainty now. I believe in justice, but don’t you think that an eye for an eye will make the world blind?” “Dead or Alive. WE PREFER DEAD! Well done SEAL team! AMERICA: #WINNING that’s how we roll,” said Charlie Sheen. Hugh Hefner raised a very important question, asking, “Will this end terrorist attacks or increase them?”

“How bad do u think the President Obama wanted to say “BOoOyAH Son!!” at the end of his speech tonight? Probably pretty bad,” Benji Madden joked. Lindsay Lohan kept it simple, writing, “Go USA!” Did you see any memorable Twitter reactions to the news?
