Oprah to Be Piers Morgan’s First Guest

Oprah will be Piers Morgan‘s first guest, it was announced today.
“Piers Morgan Tonight” debuts on January 17, replacing “Larry King Live” on CNN’s primetime schedule.
“No one can say that Oprah isn’t a great get,” Morgan told television critics today. “It’s ridiculous. She’s one of two or three of the most brilliant gets in the world.”
“She’s a compelling interview. Everyone has interviewed Oprah over the years. Is my interview as good as the ones that have been done before? She thought so. I guarantee you’ll enjoy this one.”
Oprah will be ending her own talk show later this year, and just launched the OWN network on January 1.
