Oprah to Interview Whitney Houston’s Daughter Bobbi Kristina and Family

Oprah Winfrey has landed the first interview with Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi-Kristina since the singer unexpectedly died last month at the age 48.

Bobbi-Kristina, whose father is Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown, will appear on “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” along with Houston’s brother Gary Houston and his wife Patricia.

Patricia Houston, who served as the music icon’s manager, also spoke at her funeral last month, which Winfrey attended.

Houston’s family is expected to share with Winfrey their favorite memories of the singer and discuss the speculation surrounding her sudden death.

The episode is slated to air March 11 on OWN at 9pm.

Prior to the special episode, the network will re-air “Remembering Whitney: The Oprah Interview,” featuring Winfrey’s last interview with Houston herself.

    I certainly hope the autopsy and toxicology report is out by then, so their conversation won’t be full of speculation and avoiding the truth. Considering the air date though, it’s not likely. Too bad.

    I feel so sad for Bobby Kristina, and anyone who loses their mum at still a fairly young age. I know I wasn’t finished learning from my mum at 18.

    oh I can’t wait to see that and Technically Bobbi Kristina turns 19 tomorrow Sunday March 4th unlikely the Toxicology tests will be out by then they usually take 6 weeks and that’ll only be 4

    Sometimes it helps to talk about the death of a love one. We all grieve differently. It is easy to say why is the interview taking place so soon after Houston’s death and why is it being done at all. Well, so soon perhaps to end the endless reporters reaching out to the family to get them to talk and to control, somehow, the information on how a love one is being portrayed. As for talking about it, I lost my sister to lung cancer. After her burial I thought I didn’t to talk about it. I was wrong. Talking about it helped with the healing process. Oftentimes, it helps you to keep the person’s memory alive and keeps you in touch with them. Yes, the person is dead and life goes on, but it doesn’t mean the person never existed. And also, you never get over the loss, but you do learn to live with it.

    I just think the interview could wait until all the facts are in. Also, while I agree that talking about a loss can be healing, I dont see why the process has to take place so publicly. Will discussing this in front of a live audience and millions of tv viewers make healing any easier or is there money involved?

    I think they are doing the interview to end the constant harassment by others in the media who are trying to land an interview for money. The family probably feels comfortable with Oprah who is probably providing an escape at her home for Bobbi and her grandmother, Cissy.

    An interview with Oprah allows them to control what gets out there. Remember and unfortunately they are public figures in an entertainment since.
