One Direction performed “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” on live television for the first time on Sunday’s “X Factor UK” season 11 finale, and they were joined by a legendary guest: Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones! Watch below!

As Gossip Cop reported, “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” was released as a promotional single in November, along with “Fool’s Gold,” “18,” “Girl Almighty, and “Ready To Run.” All the songs are featured on the band’s latest album, Four, which dropped last month. The record’s official singles so far have been “Steal My Girl” and “Night Changes,” though the choice to perform “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” on Sunday’s show could be a sign that it will follow as the third single. The track, not to be confused with the Whitney Houston ballad of the same name, was co-written by Harry Styles.

The performance marked a return to the stage for Tomlinson. As Gossip Cop reported, he was forced to miss the NRJ Awards in France on Saturday due to an illness. It was a big relief to fans when he tweeted Sunday morning, “Feeling better today ! So so excited for tonight ! @TheXFactor.”

Of course, One Direction’s “X Factor” appearance was guaranteed to be special no matter what, as it was a momentous homecoming for the band. Back in 2010, Styles, Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan were just five lads, strangers to each other, hoping to start a singing career on the ITV competition’s seventh season when, on the verge of elimination, Simon Cowell had the genius idea to put them together as a group.

They ultimately finished in third place, but now, four years later, they are one of the biggest acts in the world and performing with a Rolling Stone. Check out the video below!
