One Direction won the British Artist Video of the Year at the 2016 Brit Awards on Wednesday for “Drag Me Down.” Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson were on hand to accept the award. See the video below.

The video for “Drag Me Down” beat out music powerhouses such as Adele and Sam Smith in the fan-voted category. Immediately after the award was announced, Payne and Tomlinson hugged. Fellow One Direction members Harry Styles and Niall Horan were not at the show, but they were remembered by their bandmates during the acceptance speech.

“Wow. It really is times like these and events like these that prove to us we have the best fans in the world. It really is incredible, guys. This award is for you,” Tomlinson told the crowd. Payne added, “Obviously, we just wanna thank a few people on our behalf, and the boys that aren’t here as well… We’ve just been enjoying a break at the moment. How has your break been?” “It’s been lovely, thanks,” Tomlinson replied. Payne concluded, “Thank you so much to everybody. We can’t believe to be here and win another award.”

The band’s official Twitter account also celebrated the win, writing, “WE DID IT! Thanks to everyone who voted for 1D to win British Video of the Year at this year’s Brit Awards.” Styles also posted to social media about the win, writing, “Brit Awards. Thank you to everyone who voted.”

Earlier in the show, the band lost out to Coldplay in the Best British Group category. As Gossip Cop previously reported, the Brit Awards mark the first time any members of 1D have stepped out together since the group decided to go on hiatus back in December.
