One Direction Accused Of Ripping Off ‘You & I’ Music Video — What Do You Think?

Truth rating: 10

One Direction is being accused of ripping off another band’s music video for their recent “You & I.”

OhYeahWow, an Australian production company, is drawing attention to what it sees as similarities between its own video for the band Clubfeet’s song “Everything You Wanted.”

The two videos feature some corresponding visual effects and aesthetic qualities, and OhYeahWow wants the stylistic parallels noted.

In a statement, the company writes:

“Late Friday night whilst we were busy observing the good traditions of the public holiday, something very suspicious was brought to our attention. It seems that the chaps of One Direction have taken it upon themselves to regurgitate our original concept, as seen in our award-winning clip for Clubfeet’s Everything You Wanted. Don’t get us wrong, we here at Oh Yeah Wow are big One Direction fans and are envious of their ability to maintain flawless hairdos.”

Take a look at both clips below.
