Louis Tomlinson’s Mom Gets One Direction To Meet Sick Child Georgia Edwards (VIDEO)
One Direction met with five-year old fan Georgia Edwards at their “On The Road Again” concert in Manchester, England on Sunday. Edwards suffers from Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological disease which causes serious mental and physical impairments in young children. Watch the video below.
Louis Tomlinson’s mother, Johannah Deakin, was actually the one to arrange the meeting between Edwards and the band. Deakin discovered an online campaign called #Georgies1DWish, which detailed Edwards’ dream to meet the singers, and she promptly arranged for it to happen.
Before enjoying One Direction’s show, Edwards got to go backstage and meet the boys. Edwards’ parents later wrote about the experience on her official Facebook page. “Haven’t even got the words right now to explain how amazing this evening was! I haven’t stopped crying,” the post read. It went on to say, “We had kisses, cuddles, photographs and signatures with them all. They truly are the most down to earth, genuine lovely lads (and they’re even better looking in real life!!!). Then the four of us rocked it out at their awesome concert!”
Tomlinson himself later took to Twitter to give a shoutout to Edwards, her brother, and the rest of the girl’s family. The singer tweeted, “Met a totally inspirational family last night. Thank you for coming to watch the gig Charlie & Georgia :).” Watch the video below of Edwards rocking out to One Direction’s concert, and tell Gossip Cop what you think.
