VIDEO: One Direction Perform “Night Changes” At American Music Awards
One Direction performed “Night Changes” at the American Music Awards on Sunday. The track is the second single from their new album, Four. Check out the video below!
As Gossip Cop reported at the time, 1D also performed at last year’s AMAs, where they took the stage at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles to sing “Story of My Life.” They won two awards that night, but topped that tonight, winning Favorite Pop/Rock Band/Duo/Group, Favorite Pop/Rock Album, and Artist of the Year, the biggest category of the evening.
The American Music Awards appearance caps off a whirlwind promotional week for One Direction, which began last Monday with a special “Today Show” concert at Universal Studios Orlando to celebrate the release of Four. On Tuesday, the group had a private show at Universal Orlando Resort that was taped for their first-ever primetime U.S. TV special, which is slated to air on NBC in December. On Thursday, One Direction joined Jimmy Kimmel on his show to create the “cutest selfie ever,” and then they were on Friday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” where the guys set the record straight on some rumors and made one crying fan very happy (causing her to cry some more). And if that wasn’t enough, they also released the “Night Changes” music video on Friday.
Niall Horan took to Twitter before the AMAs, writing, “really excited..cant wait…fingers crossed for the win..and hopefully we perform well also.. love you.” Well, Horan and his band mates definitely delivered on the performance part, and scored the wins. Check out the video below!
