One Direction “History” Music Video — WATCH!
One Direction released the highly-anticipated music video for “History” on Tuesday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, “History” is one of the song’s from the group’s most recent album, Made In The A.M., which came out last November. The track wasn’t intended to be a single initially. But after it received a huge response from fans, it was decided that “History” would replace “Infinity” as the record’s official third single.
Of course, part of the reason Directioners love the song so is that the lyrics address the band-fan relationship. The group sings in the chorus, “You and me got a whole lot of history/We could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen/You and me got a whole lot of history/So don’t let it go, we can make some more, we can live forever.”
And with the group currently on hiatus, Louis Tomlinson belting out “This is not the end/We can make it you know it/You know” has given fans much hope that they guys will eventually reunite. In the meantime, though, there’s the just-released music video to hold everyone over. The clip was dropped with no warning, and racked up thousands upon thousands of views within minutes.
The video begins with footage of Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and the now-departed Zayn Malik on “The X Factor UK” in 2010. The British stars then sing the track in the current day with highlights from the last five years interspliced. And there’s plenty of Malik shots included.
Payne tweeted just last week, “So happy everyone’s enjoying history it’s like the fandoms theme tune/anthem.” No doubt everyone will be enjoying it even more now. Check out the full video below!
