One Direction To Headline Billboard Hollywood Party On “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest”
One Direction will headline the Billboard Holiday Party on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest,” it was announced on Monday.
The band will usher in 2016 with a three-song set to be broadcast from Los Angeles with host Fergie while Seacrest holds down the Times Square festivities. This will mark the second year in a row One Direction participates in the Billboard Holiday Party. Unfortunately, the performances are likely to be pre-taped rather than air live.
Nevertheless, it will ensure One Direction ends 2015 in a big way. On Tuesday’s “GMA 40” live stream, Louis Tomlinson said the group’s hiatus is likely to begin on January 1. That would make the New Year’s gig their last official performance for some time to come.
One Direction says in a statement, “It’s been an incredible year for us and we can’t wait to ring in the New Year with all our fans on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. It’s an honor to be back at the Billboard Hollywood Party for our second year.”
One Direction is only the second act to be announced for this year’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” It was recently revealed Carrie Underwood will be the New York headliner. TELL US: Are you excited for One Direction’s final show of the year?
