One Direction participated in the historic “GMA 40” live stream on Tuesday. Check out the video below!

In honor of the 40th anniversary of “Good Morning America,” ABC is hosting a 40-hour live stream. The star-studded festivities are a celebration of the morning show’s past, present, and future. And One Direction represented a mix of all three.

The group has performed on “GMA” before, most recently in August to celebrate the release of “Drag Me Down,” the first single from the new album, Made In The A.M. The appearance now comes just a few days after the record was released. And with the band set to go on hiatus next year, their involvement in “GMA 40” will not only have them in the ABC history books for decades to come, but also give them a place to return to when they come back together.

The “GMA 40” stream began at 5 p.m. Eastern Time, with One Direction joining at 10 p.m. The band was in Los Angeles, where they met up with Lara Spencer and Nick Lachey for an intimate hour-long show that actually took place on the set of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” When the group took the stage, they first chatted about the new album and the last concert of the recent tour.

For the actual concert portion, One Direction began with “Drag Me Down,” followed by “Perfect.” It was he first time the group sang the new single in the U.S., along with “Love You Goodbye” and “History.” Watch below!
