Not a diversion – she’s hardly in this trailer. They have been to Cannes with this film and had previously put out a trailer and several sneek peeks so this just falls in line with that. I can’t wait to see the movie – I love Kristen but I am sooo looking forward to Garret’s performance.

And while everyone’s assuming Rob and Kristen were happyily together and everything was peachy-keen until she “cheated”…it’s just not so. Things are much different than you think.

In terms of publicity, this entire thing is great for the studio to garner attention to a film that may otherwise be overlooked.

However, this is a double edge sword, as Kristen will now, once again be dissected for why this was released. Some may question diversion, other PR tactics, etc. This keeps her name in the tabs as the villain and keeps unwanted attention on her, while at the same time brings attention to a film.

Honestly, she truly needs to get a new PR team, and start from the bottom up. Even though she is barely in this trailer, her name is the first thing on the link. In the eyes of public opinion, it doesn’t necessarily bode well for her.

I haven’t thought they were peachy keen for a while. I think their relationship was running it’s course. She did something stupid but I believe she had her reasons. She’s a radical chick. I also think she’s a little self destructive at the moment. But enough of that.

It has to be hard to be at premiers or interviews and having females and males hitting on your boyfriend with you sitting right next to him. Fans, interviewers it didn’t matter they didn’t respect Kristen sitting or standing next to Rob, they would yell and just go for it and Rob never really confirmed in video or print that she was his girlfriend. They are both free now and should live their lives without each other. They both need to move forward and from everything I have seen and read Rob is indeed moving forward without Kristen. Good for him and now Kristen need to also move forward. They will both find someone else and they both will love again and they both will still have great careers.

Witch hunting? If she didn’t want negative things being said about her, maybe she shouldn’t have cheated with a married man! She deserves all the negative things everyone is saying about her. Why does she deserve kindness and sympathy after what she has done to Rob and Rupert’s family? She doesn’t. Annie, Snow White earned $154M at the box office with a production budget of $170M. Add another $30 to $40M for marketing and the film is only returning a profit because of overseas grosses. It did return a profit so it’s not a bad box office outing, but it is hardly a blockbuster. On the Road is not critically acclaimed, but Garret Hedlund’s performance was and he may be nominated for awards. Having said that, Kristen’s reviews are not bad for On the Road, with several critics mentioning that for once she’s not twitchy and actually ebullient (not good enough for awards consideration, but much better than she normally gets). In other words, Kristen is hardly garnering recognition as a great actress (she got bad reviews for her performance in Snow White that had nothing to do with the direction and everything to do with her acting style as one recent example) but she did get good reviews for On the Road. Snow White did return a profit so I would agree that this should be a good year for Kristen both in terms of acting accolades for On the Road and proving that she does have some box office clout outside of Twilight which until Snow White was a big question mark. Kristen is the highest paid actress because of Twilight back end, but once Twilight is gone, she will drop quite a bit (but still command a pretty big salary thanks to Snow White). I think your assessment of Kristen was a bit too rosy, but I would agree that this was a big year for her career wise. I don’t think the affair will hurt her career to be frank, her losses will be more personal, not just with Rob, but also possible trust issues with future boyfriends. The reviews for Rupert’s directorial debut weren’t great, but they weren’t terrible either and all recognized his ability for visual slickness. He’ll be hired for future projects, just probably not for art house projects as the main critique was his lack of depth into the subject matter.

Time to give this up already and move on. Lets start to concentrate on her career now. Which is just where everyones concentration should have been in the first place. Her career. Personally, I cant wait for this movie. Have only heard good things about everyones performance, yes, including hers. Especially hers. Always a fan.

This is NOT a Kristen Stewart movie. She’s in it as a character actress and I understand that she is pretty decent in it (in some earlier reviews). I don’t believe it’s a diversion of any sort, but everyone can think what they want. The cast in this movie is phenomenal and warrants a chance just based on Walter Salles. I’m in my mid-forties and have been waiting a long time to see this, and what Kristen Stewart does in her private life shouldn’t effect a movie that so many people have put their hearts and souls into. What she did was wrong, but it shouldn’t effect the projects she’s in. If you don’t like her, fine, don’t go see the her movies, but this is NOT her movie and society really need to separate the real life person with the characters they play.

I agree with one of the comments here that this should have been her year for acclaim. Now, her personal choices will over shadow everything she does from here on out. I hope that she can recover from her foolishness and become a better human being, not for her movies but for herself, her family and for any future relationships. Go see On The Road if you are a Kerouc fan. If you aren’t and was only going because the girl from Twilight was in it, then don’t bother. It’ll be beyond your scope of intelligence anyway.

You do know that Rotten Tomatoes does not determine a films success and most of their reviews are by the audience. OTR has only been released in the foreign market. The critics that have reviewed it from Cannes and even some of the others, are prestegious real critics and would not stoop to posting their reviews on the laughable RT.

Wrong. I saw Cosmopolis and liked it. Now Rob is excellent in that movie, and got plenty of praise, excellent reviews for this movie (sometimes better than the movie itself). He got better reviews for Cosmopolis than anybody got for OTR. Just because I didn’t love OTR I am 12 year-old… WTF? Have you seen the movie? And I had the book too.

I agree. This has been a wake up call on so many levels. I was a Robsten fan because I just loved the way they looked together, but I am a Kristen and Rob fan because I like them as actors. I’m sad that they are Both going through pain no matter who caused it. I will continue to support them and see their movies. What I won’t do again is concern myself with who they are dating. No actually that would be my breaking point. I’ve defended Kristen from nonstens and haters because I always saw something different and they are just plain evil. Kristen’s recent behavior, I am not a fan. If she and Rupert continue any kind of relationship- I could not be her fan. I’ve convinced myself Rupert told her things that made her not consider he was married with kids, I also believe they didn’t have sex and they made out a few times after he kept after her for months, she stupidly kissed him back but I don’t see any passion in those pictures. He wanted more and was trying to get there- this is a seduction and her resistance was breaking down more and more because it felt exciting, and Kristen is immature enough to let that cloud her judgment. Kristen is also smart and tough and I believe has learned a tough, tough life lesson that has to be so much harder in the public eye- we can’t imagine.

I couldn’t be a Kristen fan and not have boundaries and a breaking point- so if Rupert is in her future or any other married/taken man- I’m out. FFS I live in a country where the movie has been released, so yes I saw it. Well, for me Mortensen is the best thing in the movie, too bad you hardly noticed him. She’s the ONLY current star in the movie–the leads are not well known and do not get the hits like Kristen does. Sure, there are other big names in the movie–but none that can carry it on their own. Kristen’s name is the only reason any of us know of it. Keep that in mind. Plus, GC–is just like anyother media site–they need the hits. They’re not stupid. People, no one disputes that what Kristen did was wrong, even her fans, but the punishment does not fit the crime. As I said in a previous comment, terrorist, rapists, murderers and thieves have not been subjected to such hate.

Actually yes. I thought she was fantastic in Speak and I thought she was really good in The Runaways too. I have seen two of the Twilight films, they were okay, but I’m not a teenager and they really didn’t appeal to me. I don’t plan on watching the rest of them.

First, let me start by saying I just started reading “Lie Down in Darkness”, the movie is going to be G-r-e-a-t. Kristen’s going to be great in it. I think it’s Oscar time. What you haters don’t understand, is that what is meant to be, will be. Both Kristen and Rob are very established as Hollywood stars. She is smart, with a hunger for the game and once she and Rob work things out, she will be back as bright as ever. And yes, I believe they will work things out because they always shown themselves to be very strong as a couple. It will be an enormous challenge, but I believe Kristen will always fight to keep Rob. If they’re releasing it on VOD the same day it starts in theaters that means it will play in LA and NY for a week and probably not get a wide release in the US, maybe not even an art house release.

If they were going to show it in a lot of theaters then they wouldn’t do the VOD at the same time. They only do that for films that have received a majority of bad reviews and that they don’t have any confidence in.They only run it in theaters for a week so it’s eligible for awards, but this film isn’t going to get any nominations, they’re wasting their time.

hmmm,so I gather that you also don’t care for, Julia Roberts, Sienna Miller, Jennifer Lopez, the obvious Angelina Jolie, Alicia Keys, Catherine Zeta Jones (although in her defense, Michael Douglas claimed to be separated), Meg Ryan, just a name a few from memory. My favorite all time movie is Steele Magnolias with Julia Roberts. I took it very personally when she broke up with the yummy Benjamin Bratt and got involved with a married Danny Moder (in my opinion a step down). Seems like it’s more a bid for tabloid attention to get endorsements and bigger and better roles but you can get addicted to that and drag everyone else around you down. Pity her costars, none have fared too well being short changed to fan her flame instead and her fans are getting ever nastier too.

No one knows what Rob is feeling right now or what he will do and they need to stop making decisions for him. While I don’t think they will get back together that is just my thoughts, not a fact. Let Rob decide what is best and respect that decision either way.

Cosmopolis comes out next week in the states and I am excited to see OTR in December. I am and always have been a fan of their work more than their personal life and I will continue to be.

386 hits! Wow, Kristen Stewart is really getting under everyone’s skin. The more we talk about her the move relevant she becomes. Love or hate, we are giving the gossip sheets what they need and whether we support Stewart or not we are all talking about her. The nasty comments and name calling is not going to change what happened. I came here to see the trailer and comment on how good it looks and the comments are through the roof.

Okay, look, yeah, what she’s did was wrong and hurt ALOT of people. She has to live with this for the rest of her life and her career is going to take a major hit. So what? those who should be persecuting her are not publicly on blogs, newspapers or the radio stations talking about this. Why are we so invested in other peoples private life. Just yesterday I told one of my co-workers to mind her business regarding a private conversation I was having with my husband. It pissed off all day! I can only imagine what these people go through. Yeah, their celebrities who provide pseudo entertainment to us, but we buy into it. This society is flawed and fucked up! GC, you’re not helping, but I guess you have a job to do and payroll to meet. I used to like coming here because your information usually seemed to be on key but it seems you’re now caught up in the hype as well.

I originally wanted to say that OTR looks great and December seemed so far away.. Can’t wait to see it! Sorry, I got distracted with all the melo-drama.. Peace to us all!

Exactly!!! No matter what Kristen does, they hate her in every way. Kristen really owns their asses and they are not getting their asses soon as long as they keep following & harassing her.

Maybe Rupert’s tongue is better than Rob & Kristen taste sweeter than Liberty ?
