Much better then the dog act that won Britain Got Talent.

  • Jenna

    sooooo glad they won! :)

  • Alicia

So happy they won, I would definitely go see them.

  • Laserbeam

Olate Dogs was the absolute WORST ACT to win. Who would vote? America has gone to the dogs? I’m speechless. Were kids voting? Wiliam Close and David Garibaldi were the most exciting acts of the six. The Olate Dogs was the worst. I thought they were going to go home first. So it’s going to be a kids act in Vegas. I’m never watching this show again!

  • alexstorm

I liked the guy with the harp

  • ANIMAL LOVER

Laserbeam, You must be an AWFUL person to be a dog hater!! :-( Olate Dogs rocked!!! The greatest dogs act EVER!!! The two trainers were AWESOME and so dedicated and loving to their dogs. ! If you think just “kids” love dogs, you are greatly mistaken!!!!! Who CARES whether you ever watch the show again!!!! GOOD RIDDANCE, DOG HATER!!! :-(

  • Mike

OLATE DOGS AND TRAINERS WERE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WILL BE A WONDERFUL ACT IN VEGAS!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! AMERICA GOT IT RIGHT!!!!!!! THE GREATEST ACT IN THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lilukeland

This show is officially rigged…I thought this year was going to be the difference as a Singer didn’t win..but of course a stupid DOG act ends up winning…..WHAT A SURPRISE…you mean two dog acts WIN the same show in two different countries…I’m officially done with this stupid show…how the guy with the fucking HARP doesn’t WIN is beyond me that’s TALENT stupid dogs dancing around is NOT TALENT….stupid show

  • Sinner702

It’s not purely based on TALENT, it has to be entertaining also. They’re going to be headlining in Vegas and being a Las Vegas resident I honestly can’t imagine paying money to watch some dogs on stage. It’s cute but how is it going to entertain crowds on a NIGHTLY basis? Sorry but there’s just no way I’d pay $30+ for a show ticket to watch dogs do a conga line.

  • Deb

Tom Cotter should have won. Best by Far!!

  • Dale

You are either blind or stupid…possibly both!

  • JD

I am thrilled that Olate Dogs won!!! Great talent from both the doggies and their amazing trainers!! I’ve never seen such well trained and well behaved dogs. Give these guys the chance and let them come up with a bunch more tricks and this will be the most amazing animal show ever!!!

  • JD

Maybe you wouldn’t pay, but apparently there are plenty of people who voted for them who would pay to see them. Including me!!

  • JD

America has been going to the dogs for years now. But finally, here are some dogs worth going to!!! Olate Dogs were the best!!! I’m thrilled they won and apparently enough people agreed with me to put them in 1st place!!!

  • Belle

The dogs were great and the guy with the harp was very boring. He cant stand alone and entertain. As you saw he needed one republic to make him sound good. Maybe if he had that he would have won. Dont hate on dogs that probably have more talent than you. Peace

  • Belle

Olate dogs were awesome. Stop hating on dogs just because you didnt like them. Next thing you’re going to say is that bieber was the best act for the results show. Open your eyes and stop being an inconsiderate person. It was a great dog act.

  • Belle

You’re stupid and you can go suck the dogs d..k

  • Kracker

America’s got dead brain cells. Lay off the People that won’t pay for a dog act. To watch all the great talent put there and then ha e it all come down to people that will never go to Vegas is stupid. The painting group and the Harp player by far deserved to win. To take this out of the hands of The judges at the end is so dumb! Wasted my time with this show never again.

  • Justmyopinion

The trainers of the olate dogs are very talented, but without the dogs they would have nothing.. The dogs won, but won’t get the money.. And what if they dont like doing flips? At least a person performing knows that is what he or she WANTS to be doing… I feel like Agt should seperate children animal, and adult acts and put them on different shows. It’s not fair to combine them all, because the winners are generally all good at what thy do, but how can you compare them?! And America’s got talent should only be for people who live in America to compete in.. Otherwise change the name to all countries got talent..

  • Al

First Off I would like to state the I love dogs but I am now convinced that America’s Got Talent is FIXED!! It is to much of a coincidence that Britain’s Got Talent winner was also dog act.

Two phenomenal Talents, Tom Cotter and William Close should have been the winners. Is this Americas best Talent? A Dog Act???

  • wikinewstime
  • Jack

The dogs weren’t bad. They just weren’t good. When they showed the flashback before the winner was announced, it became clear as day that each dog is only able to do a trick or two, and that they do the same act every time.

I love dogs, but their act just wasn’t good enough to win. Tom Cotter, David Garibaldi, and William Close were the best acts up there. I had Olate Dogs pegged for fifth, coming in ahead of the dancing children.

Again, I don’t have anything against the act. I just don’t understand why an act with dogs that do the same thing in a different order every week should win over Tom Cotter, who’s jokes are always funny and perfectly executed, or David Garibaldi, who’s doing different, amazing art at a lightning pace every week. Tom Cotter prepared SIX different acts this week and last week too. The Olate Dogs prepared one act for the entire season. Explain how that is fair.

  • Asdfghjkl;

IMO all talent shows are rigged

  • Pam

Very happy for the Olate Dogs

  • Q

Does the winner have talent? Yes…but the point is to be a top act in Vegas which means they have to put on a show longer than the 90 seconds they did on America’s Got Talent. There is no way they have enough tricks to make it an hour. I honestly got bored after the second time because the dogs did the same things just different songs and outfits. Both Tom Cotter and William Close were easily winners and should have been 1 and 2 before the dogs.

  • Simply Sergio

I want to congratulate the winners, The Olate Dogs! I had the chance to hold them when I was in Vegas. They were very sweet dogs! I would pay to see them in Vegas! Their trainers were very friendly and kind to me! Congratulations!!! Simply Sergio

  • Dan

The fact the dogs one made me wonder why judges don’t get to pick the winner. Judges are picked to pick the talent, that’s why I liked Howard whenever he said “Is this worth a million dollars?” Were the dogs worth a show in a variety show of 2 minute skits? Sure, but a Vegas Show? Lol, what are they gonna do? Make them spin in a circle or jump some more? Same stuff, e v e r y single time. First time I saw it I was like “wow those are talented dogs” then the next few times I was like “And they’ll be gone cause they just do the same crap over.. and over.. and over…” but apparently America has proven that they have no idea how to vote for an act worthy of a prize. The dogs should of gone before or after the children, the true winners got screwed. So many acts with varying performances that were really entertaining lose to a bunch of dogs that learned 2 or 3 tricks just because America wuvs wittle fwuffy puppies. Next time I’m in a contest I need votes for I’ll bring a dog that knows how to do a backflip so I can win the moron vote.

  • Dan

And yes, I realized I misspelled “won” in the first sentence. I was generating another thought when writing it.

  • Dan

So you’d be entertained watching a dog do a back flip for an hour straight and say “Damn that was worth my $30″ ? If so why not just watch their performances and put them on repeat, save yourself $30 and you can turn it off when you finally realize it’s boring.

  • Dan

He’s trained them for years and only got them to learn like 3 tricks, so maybe in another few years they’ll learn another 3 more… as to the others with amazing talent that brought something new every time. Just don’t see the logic in this.

  • Dan

Can’t tell if troll or one of the morons in America that can’t decipher talent.

  • Anonymous

    tom cotter got robbed.

  • Anyone but olate

Dogs. Suck and America sucks more for voting for a repetitive 1 minute act that no one will spend money to watch for 2 hrs. America gets 3 X ‘s

  • D

That settles its for me I’m not watching this show ever again. When some jumping dogs that weren’t that good anyways beats everyone else. The dogs should have been the first act eliminated. Tom Cotter or David Garibaldi should have won.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jeremy-Gordon/1423005919 Jeremy Gordon

America may have talent, but America sure doesn’t KNOW talent.

  • Davidl32

To be totally honest with you, what a waste of a million dollars. The two acts that would have a continous money flow and many shows throughout the country for as long as Blue Man Group would have been David Garibaldi and the other who didn’t even make it to the finals, Light Wire Theatre. What a bunch of crap. I love my dogs but I would never pay $30 to see them hop around for an hour. Waste of a season.

  • Kerry

Just seen Olate dogs on the today show, imagine that they did the same three tricks they did all season. I even remember seeing the dogs mess up a couple times this year, which everything it happened the judges should have pointed out because they probably woulda gotta eliminated earlier like they should have!!!! I agree with all you that they were a good act but not good enough to win, and I wild never pay to go see them in Vegas. Anyone who says they would is either lying or simply retarded!!

  • Dean

Agreed. Even their segment during the finale was only a couple tricks that we’d seen them do EVERY time they were on stage. I became bored with them the more I saw them. I don’t know how they are going to create a 90 minute act when they can’t even come up with a unique 90 seconds. Frankly, after I saw them for the second time and witnessed a repeat of all the same tricks, I thought they should’ve been eliminated then and there.

(it’s also, ‘should’ve’ or ‘should have’. Not ‘should of’. wink wink.) I agree with both Dan & bhobdholerson. I was soooo disappointed for Tom Cotter. I hope his career goes bonkers after this show- he’s paid his dues for 25 years and deserves it.

  • Snapps izking

It was a great season finale for Americas Got Talent. I
honestly thought Tom Cotter should have won instead of Olate Dogs. The dogs
were a great act, but not a million dollar act. William Close or David
Garibaldi and his CMYKs would’ve been a better pick. Americas Got Talent has
been a great show this season and I enjoy watching my favorite primetime show
without the interruption of commercials. It’s a great benefit for me to use my
Auto Hop feature with the touch of a button. One of my coworkers at Dish showed
me how this feature works and how much easier it is to enjoy TV. I don’t like having to manually skip
commercials every ten minutes and now the Auto Hop will do it for me. No more
over fast forwarding and I can save the life on the batteries on my remote.

  • easyslide

William Close by far had the most marketable act for a vegas show. I would have put the Olate Dogs dead last. Tom Cotter kind of bombed his last performance and he was still far better then the dogs. America may have talent but it also has some seriously strange voters.

  • http://www.facebook.com/breck.raskovsky Breck Greninger

Actually they only HEADLINE the act consisting of ALL the top acts, so they don’t have 2 be On Stage ANY LONGER than the Director feels they R INTERESTING.. SO HARP Guy, William & TOm Cotter & CKMY COULD get MORE STAGE TIME!!!

  • scribe

Let’s all remain calm about the situation folks. Don’t forget the AGT prize money disclaimer that the $1 million award is given out in an annual annuity over a period of 40 years! Now, if you do the math, that is $25,000 per year. Hmmm… the poverty level for 2012 has been set at $23,050 (total yearly income) for a family of four. With that information one can clearly see that the contestants who didn’t “win” will likely make much more in their upcoming careers apart from AGT. Jackie Evancho has done very well, even though she didn’t “win”. With that said, I’m still done watching the show. So long, AGT. It’s been fun, but it ain’t been real fun.

The same as with Britain’s Got Talent – I’m actually glad the dog act won. That will allow William Close and Tom Cotter as well as the art group early freedom to sign with outfits that will promote and utilize their talent. The dogs will do fine with some acts, advertisements and such – but they will be under the thumb of the show for a certain amount of time. I’m not surprised that the dogs won… not at all. Remember it’s not a “talent” show as much as a popularity contest. Remember the American Idol curse? Sometimes it’s much better to place 1st or 2nd. Are they rigged – it’s amazing to me that when “my” act loses it’s immediately because of fraud. Nope, having been around them – it definitely isn’t rigged. But, as I said before – NOT winning will turn into a big blessing in this case~~

Who is gonna pay money to see a dog act in Vegas ?

After 20 minutes of them jumping around, then what ?

This was a joke. Show needs to be changed.

Yeah, but none of you that voted for the dogs truthfully would not pay money AND waste a night out on a bunch of dancing dogs.

    Don’t kid us.

  • Anonymous

Olate dogs are AWESOME! I go to Vegas yearly and can’t wait to see their show!!! I can barely get my dogs to sit–getting them to do what this man can is like hitting the lottery every single time!!! It’s AMAZING!

  • http://www.facebook.com/adele.vanpelt Adele Van Pelt

Just be happy they won…The majority of these animals are rescued and would otherwise have been put down if not for their fine and loving owners/trainers..So to me the 1 million dollars goes to a great place…Let the dogs have their day…Too many are abused and negected out there with no one to care…There will be other comedians, musicians, dancers, singers etc. to win in the future..And besides the exposure on AGT will be to those who lost advantage….

  • NascarNurse

Why won’t NBC release the voting totals? Seems fishy to me that a dog act with the same tricks won.

  • Anna

It angers me that most of you are complaining about the dog act winning. I thought they were fantastic. We need to remember that they are dogs, they aren’t capable of remembering a great deal of tricks. The fact that the dogs are able to do these types of tricks perfectly every time is pretty amazing.

  • mel

One republic totally drowned him out. You couldn’t appreciate the harp as much with the band playing. I liked the harp being the central focus of the arrangement. He was great and if you think one republic made him sound better, then you need your ears checked and learn a thing or two about music

  • agt voter

it was an upset for sure. i picked william close or tom cotter. i thought the dogs were cute but definitely not a “Vegas” show. still, i believe that both tom and william would do very well after AGT. the dogs show may last for a while but definitely not a long term event and yes, i won’t pay $30 to watch a dog show unless it is part of other performances.

  • Sharon Hunter

I voted for those adorable, hard working, talented dogs and I would pay to see them live!!! I am tired of reading all the negative comments from lazy people who can’t understand why those dogs and their trainers won.Can you flip backwards over and over again? America got it right, I am so proud because Americans showed real Heart! It has been said, ” you can see the character of a man by the way they treat animals and children.” It was a learning lesson to see love in action. And to train dogs this way takes long hours of continual training and love. It paid off for them. They got the American Dream!

  • Sharon Hunter

I would not only want to pay to see them, I would pay big money to own just one of them. You fool, go back to your couch, potato head.

  • Sharon Hunter

They were the best! I hope they get millions for showing us what real family entertainment is all about. Those rockers who preformed were the real wasters of America’s time. Thank God the dogs showed up to save the day.

  • Sharon Hunter

If you don’t like America’s choice then leave!!!! You are blind, stupid and not alive.

  • Sharon Hunter

William Close was great but he didn’t win. America voted and they are not strange. He will get money and a show of his own. People love dogs and I am glad for this father and son team who probably didn’t have a dime to their name Won the price. Now they can build a first class place for the dogs and a house for themselves. They deserve it, it was a joy to watch how much they loved their dogs. What a lesson for all of us.

  • Sharon Hunter

Wow and you know better then America? Teach us something, but I know, you haven’t been discovered yet. Can’t wait to see Jeremy Gordon on TV.

  • Sharon Hunter

Tom should have won? A one man show? Right, it would have been a disgrace for him to win.

  • Sharon Hunter

I am sure he will make a few bucks for his stupid jokes. You give him some money since you made it big time with you talent.

  • Sharon Hunter

You have real class Sergio!!! You were there and saw these adorable talented dogs. You were great and cheerful and make us smile. So glad you have a good attitude, thanks!

  • Sharon Hunter

So did the Olates and their dogs. The father has been training for 40 years. Tom and William will make money too. Don’t boo hoo over them. They are smiling.

  • Sharon Hunter

You are not speaking for me no name. I will spend money just to see them. Clean up your talk or don’t come out of the closet again.

  • Tina Archer

In my class everyone was talking about it, but seriously think of it, Olate Dogs are just very well trained dogs, yes they are cute, but think, is it a million dollar act? William Close, David, Joe, or Tom Cotter were my favorites for sure. This is one of the times a singer didn’t win! I honestly think there are good trained dogs, why did they end up getting so far?!

  • PLP

Why does everyone have to act like a two year old? So your pick did not win….get over it! All of this “I am never watching again”, calling the dogs stupid, calling people who voted for them “morons” seriously, is it really that big a deal? So you did not agree with the vote, why throw a damn tantrum over it? Be gracious, move p and Grow UP!

  • Sharon Hunter

    Ok don’t watch.

  • Sharon Hunter

Thanks for being honest about your wasted season. But who cares what you think, honestly?

  • disappointed

name change should be “Americas chance to ruin the hopes of talented people by voting their far less talented competitors for the win” , seriously out of all the acts stupid jumping dogs with the same 10 tricks, BORING! but hey america made the vote..

  • http://twitter.com/tattoogoddess Danielle

oh really? 55,000 people came out in the DESERT to see him last year one day. His name is william by the way.

  • James Vision

LOL, can you belive that the best talent AMERICA can produce is a dog act!!!!

  • LBD

This is the worst Americas Got Talent Show I have Ever watched !!!!!!!! Who In their right mind is going to pay .01 To watch a bunch of dogs walking on their hind legs. So much fantastic talent and the show goes to THE DOGS !!!! Now with Sharon leaving, It just won’t be the same without her. I will not watch this stupidity any more. I used to really like this show but who are the morons that would pick dogs over the incredible talent they had to chose from. I guess with all the crap going on in the world, now it’s really going to the dogs. I agree with other comments that this is probably a good thing for the true talent that was on the show this year. They are free do do what they are to what they are great at without the pressure of big money .

  • jay

Seriously? So the message is: some dogs have more talent than any american….LMFAO

  • Dr. Truth.

I love how the only person defending the stupid dogs is Sharon Huntard here. OMGTEEHEESOCUTE > Talent, it seems.

  • Kerry

The thing that she doesn’t realize is that we’re not saying the dogs aren’t good, we are saying that they were back flipping from day 1. They didn’t change up their act. If anyone else would have performed the exact same tricks everytime they wouldv’e been sent home. Lots of acts were. I was pissed that Diddleman got sent home and the dogs stayed, he was frickin amazing.

  • George Strum

I gave up on AGT when they allowed that imbecile crotch smasher act through. The result of this show disappointed me and with Sharon now leaving I’ve had it with AGT for good. I’ve enjoyed all the other seasons past but for now on I’ll for get it.

  • UMADBOR?

No, America’s best talent is not a dog act. They should not have won, and btw are you forgetting about all of America’s other VERY talented Artists, Dancers,Magicians, Singers, Comedians Ect? YOLOLOLOLOLOL!

  • swilliam

I think the show has gone to the dogs!!! I would not pay to see that type of show….now William Close or Tom Cotter, I would pay top dollar to see….. Sorry won’t be watching next year

  • Pat Swan

That dog show will be a big flop in Vegas!!! It’s not that great, my dog hops on it’s hind legs when I have food, whoop dee doo.

  • #yolo

The same people who voted for them

  • Sad Day

Dogs doing tricks at home–cool. Dogs doing tricks on stage–creepy, not so cool. Tom Cotter–can’t tell an original joke…Donald Duck doesn’t wear pants?! Never heard THAT before. These were the top 6 from an entire season? America’s got squat.

  • Cannot Felate Myself

I also cannot felate myself, but I wouldn’t vote that as a great talent. (Good Vegas show, perhaps)

  • Wal-Mart Flatulence

America’s Choice…isn’t that the Wal-Mart store brand? That pretty much says it all.

  • hiawathagary

I will never watch this show again. Some mutts that did the same thing everytime. You would have to pay me to go to one of their shows.

  • hiawathagary

No doubt these dogs won because of votes by kids and women.

shut your mouth sharon you keyboard warrior… i’d be more then happy to show you how talented I am…

put the cucumber back in your mouth.

I love the dogs.I couldn’t watch a harp player that needed an entourage around him with acrobats and singers, violinists, and what else promoting him for an our.He alone would be just boring.that shouldn’t even be allowed.I couldn’t watch a painter for 2 hoursveithervor a sand artist,or kids dancing almost the same dances for 2 hours.I love yom cotter,he might have lastedvn hour with me.But one thing I can say the final 2 were the only ones that brought smiles to my face every time,so America got it right.I would have been fine with the fact thatTom won.Great, clean act, comedian. But was very happy for the dogs. They made me always smile,I will miss seeing them and would definitely pay to see them, even more than once.Nothing is better than in person. Both acts will do well.I read Tom Cotter is hosting thevVegas show for AGT.Smart move.Hevwill be a great host.

  • Al

“the guy with the harp was very boring. He cant stand alone and entertain”

and you call two dog trainers doing absolutely nothing but having there dogs perform circus act’s doing something?

  • Jim Gibbons

The the Evil Lazy Cat People are making those anti-dog comments. The Dogs were the most precious and talented act EVER. I’d pay to see them any day. Try training your dog to do any of these tricks! They deserved to win. The LOVE on that stage with those Children With Fur was what won it! Wake up Evil LAZY Cat People! DOGS RULE AND KITTIES DROOL! AMERICA GOT IT SO RIGHT! GO AWAY DOG HATERS!

  • Jimmer G

I love the dogs like they are my kids but the husband and wife trapeze act with the body builder dude was the one show I’d really go and see. Got voted off too early. Lady was freak- of -nature -strong…and sooo beautiful!

Tom Cotter sucks he should’ve gotten last place. David Garibaldi should’ve won.

The only reason the Olate dogs won was because America wanted to show Britain that they have a better dog act. It was the worst decision by far, but this cultural “mines better” battle is what won the competition for them.

  • Carmellasue

We will never watch this show again and we will make sure that we will not buy Snapple or Orville Redenbacher again. These dogs were not as talented as many others and we were so disappointed at the outcome. Howe many people will go to see an hour and a half of of DOGS.

  • lauren s.

I agree! When i saw that act I thought they were gonna win, I was way off.. lol

Btw, I accidentally made your thing all negative below your comment, sorry about that. I was trying to like it but I think it was messing up.

    Who cares about dogs?

  • CK

I can teach u that then is spelled than :P

  • CK

Anyhow, I really liked the dog act. Cotter or Light Wire should have won, but Olate dogs were pretty impressive too, just more for families and kids. The problem they had is that they showed ALL their awesome tricks right off the bat instead of slowly bringing out a new trick each round so it appeared to be repetitive. Simply put, their tricks were pretty amazing. I personally liked Cotter the best, like Howard said, he kept you wanting more.

  • Cloudfart

Will you stop being a retarded monkey? No one cares about your overwhelmingly stupid affection for a couple of dogs.

  • AfanofWilliamClose

AGREED! i quit watching this show cause they chose the dogs jumping around, watching William Close and his final, i cried. Liked him on facebook and is 100% supporting him!
