OK! report that ties Reese Witherspoon to engagement is knot right

“Reese & Jake Are Engaged,” screams a headline in the British edition of OK!, which goes on to report that the “actress accepts as her man pops the question.”

Yes, once again a tabloid is marrying off Reese Witherspoon to longtime boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.

According to OK!, “Reese fuelled rumours she is set to tie the knot with the actor after she was spotted flaunting a gold band on her wedding finger.” The tab even has a “source” who says, “Reese looked delighted, and she was definitely showing off the ring.” Yes, “definitely showing off the ring.”

What makes this particularly interesting – besides the fact that it’s not true – is that the online version of the story has about two dozen photos of the star, and not one of them shows this so-called engagement ring.

Oh, for the record, when asked if the couple is engaged, Witherspoon’s rep told Gossip Cop, “No, no, and no.”

Almost comically, the mag notes, “This is not the first time it has been reported the couple – who began dating in 2007 – are planning to marry.” And Gossip Cop is sure it’s not the last time either.
